Go Ahead é o meu primeiro álbum instrumental, lançado em 2013, e nasceu de uma ideia que continua presente na minha música até hoje: transformar experiências, sentimentos e conflitos em histórias contadas sem palavras.
O próprio título resume o conceito do disco. Go Ahead — siga em frente.
Não como uma afirmação de que tudo dará certo ou de que o caminho será fácil, mas como uma atitude diante da vida. Avançar mesmo quando existem dúvidas, obstáculos, perdas ou mudanças de direção.
Foi também um trabalho construído de forma muito pessoal. Além de compositor e guitarrista, participei diretamente da produção do álbum, levando para a gravação não apenas as músicas, mas a maneira como eu imaginava que elas deveriam soar e se conectar. A guitarra ocupa naturalmente o centro do trabalho, mas não apenas como instrumento solista: ela assume o papel que normalmente pertenceria à voz.
É daí que vem uma característica importante de Go Ahead: as músicas não foram pensadas apenas como demonstrações instrumentais ou técnicas. Melodias, riffs, harmonias, timbres e mudanças de intensidade são utilizados para criar ambientes e transmitir emoções. A técnica está presente, mas sempre subordinada ao que cada música precisa dizer.
Por isso, o álbum pode ser ouvido como uma sequência de capítulos. Cada faixa representa um momento diferente de um mesmo percurso — impulso, confronto, dúvida, descoberta, queda, reação e continuidade.
É uma história contada pela guitarra.

01 · The First Step

My son. Listen to what I’m going to tell you. There are moments in life that we need to define if we want to live or just survive.
If you choose living, you’ll just feel happy with anything that life has to offer you, just to guarantee being alive tomorrow. There is no badness in guaranteeing surviveness. But only the path to surviveness leads you hiding from yourself. You know who you really are, but you don’t allow you beeing yourself and it struggles with time.
Get more from life and from yourself. Choose living. Choose the happiness that you desire so much. However bear in mind that when we choose living we start a journey without a defined deadline to the end. And when we choose this path we pass through some difficulties that makes us want to give up. That’s why we need to be strong and learn how to see with our hearts.
Now, go on! It’s time to start your journey. Don’t wait for the best moment and make this the best moment. Go on, my son! Go ahead!
02 · No Fear

The beginning of a journey seems scary. The first step seems something impossible. Your body freezes in front of uncertainty of the path ahead. In the first glance, it’s impossible to see far away. But we can see beyond if we use our hearts.
Never let your eyes distract your heart. Your eyes may freeze you, but your heart will move you.
03 · Go Ahead

Changing the game of life, the way of facts, seems impossible. But it’s not. It’s just difficult.
Observe the weather conditions, see the territory, know the risks and go ahead. Don’t wait too much for the best moment. Maybe it will never happen again even if you make it happen.
Don’t turn your back to your feelings and don’t fight against your heart. They led you to ways that you haven’t imagined before. But certainly, one of them will be happiness.
Go ahead! Overcome difficulties and be victorious!
04 · The Clock Is Ticking

Some things have the exact moment to happen. If you take too long you will lose your train. It will not wait for your, because it has an exact moment to leave.
Do it at the correct time. Run!!!
05 · Pulse

New ways bring new situations. The unexpected scares us. We can feel the tension going through our body. During silence, we can hear our pulse rising. With a mixed feeling of afraid and curiosity we can discover what is about to come. Sometimes we even hesitate on walking on. But at the end we know that it’s not possible avoid what it’s inevitable. The best thing to do is have a deep breath and face on the facts.

It’s time not to have time. It’s time to do things your way. From now on days don’t have 24 hours. Now they have the time that you want and need. Speed up…speed down…nobody is able to tell you where, when and how to do it. You are the owner of you own time.

Loving is a condition of life. It’s one of the most admirable tastes that life gives us. It’s the fuel that keeps us alive in front of any adversity.
With our hearts filled with love we rediscover interior strengths that we have never imagined that we were capable to have.
Doesn’t matter the way you love. You should never stop loving. And don’t be afraid of loving, even if this love is way too far.

There is no shortcut. There is no easy ways to go up the ladder that leads us to the success of life. Among many steps, never have the illusion that you will find a quicker way to go up them. It’s needed one strong step of a time. Nothing more than one step of time. Don't rush! When you look back you will see how you will have progressed.

After walking through most of the path, ideas and perceptions come through my mind. Sometimes they don’t seem sensible and possible. They are out of reality. But among so many daydreams something will look sensible. Make it become reality.

The silence of the night allows us to explore the deep of our soul. There you can find sadness, happiness, love, hate, pain and the essence of our been.
At the hardest moments of life it’s needed we drown deeper in this sea of regrets and evaluate our ways again and discover ourselves.

The body starts feeling the waste of energy because of the path you passed through. But it’s not time to stop!

Can you see now how everything is just amazing? Do you see the sunset? Do you feel your energy? Do you see the wind on your face? The birds? Look at’em! How their flight seems to be happy!
Did you know my son, that it was all here? You were not just able to see with your heart.
This journey is over and you won it! From now on others will come. But now you know how to pass through.
